HS Pipe System

Complete range from lateral connection to sewer mains

The HS® Pipe System provides the user with a complete underground drainage pipe system which has excellent technical properties and is available in SN12 (≥12 kN strength) from DN/OD 110 to DN/OD 800 and in SN16 (≥ 16 kN strength) from DN/OD 160 to DN/OD 630.

Its main properties are its high strength, high safety factor and ease of installation. Pipe diameters DN/OD 110 – 160 are designed for use in lateral pipelines and lateral connections. Pipe diameters DN/OD 200 – 800 are suitable for main pipelines in housing developments (adoptable sewers) and the drainage of storm water and wastewater.

Pipes in the diameters of DN/OD 110 – 315 are manufactured as plain-ended pipes with chamfered spigots. Due to the special design of the fittings a smooth and level invert profile is achieved. Pipes with a nominal diameter of DN/OD 400 and 500 are single socketed and come with a firmly inserted FE®-Seal, pipes in the nominal diameters of DN/OD 630 up to 800 are single socketed and come with a fixed integrated CI®-Seal. The system can be used for cover depths of 0.5 to 6 metres with heavy duty traffic loadings of up to 60 tonnes.

Consistent range of fittings

All the fittings in the HS® Pipe range are SDR 34, which means the fittings are just as strong as the pipe, which is not the case with other manufacturers.

Internal pipe marking

Uniquely to Funke, the HS® Pipes are marked on the internal wall continuously on the axis at an angle of 120°. The permanent engraving enables important pipe-related data such as the manufacturer, nominal diameter, ring stiffness and the production date to be read even years later (available from pipe diameters DN 200 upwards).

WRc Approval for use in the UK

The Funke HS® Pipe System is the only adoptable drainage pipe system in the UK approved by WRc, Approval Nos. PT/444/0719 (Pipe) and PT/443/0719 (Fittings & Fabrications).

The advantages in practice:

    Suitable for heavy traffic
  • Pressure tested up to 2.5 bar
  • High chemical resistance
  • Can be installed at temperatures down to -10°C
  • All fittings are SDR 34, ensuring consistent strength throughout the pipeline
  • Internal marking system for pipe identification
  • Can be supplied shrink wrapped to protect pipes on site
