Funke Kunststoffe GmbH, a member of the Funke Group, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of underground drainage and sewer pipe systems and fittings. The business was established in 1962 by Günter Funke, in the Münsterland region of Germany. By the time Günter’s sons Norbert and Hans-Günter Funke took over responsibility for running the company in 1994, the number of employees had risen from 35 to over 130. The business passed to the next generation in 2020, while remaining true to its corporate philosophy.
Since the company was passed on to the next generation, the expertise and dedication of its employees have combined with a constantly expanding product range, allowing Funke to rise to the top of both the German and European markets. Today, the Funke Group has more than 300 employees and develops, manufactures and markets a varied range of products, from underground drainage and sewer pipe systems and wastewater disposal systems through to modern rainwater infiltration and ground reinforcement systems.

HS Pipe UK is a trading name of MJ Abbott Ltd. Established by Michael Abbott in 1965, it has grown steadily to become one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors and independent drainage merchants.
